The Noble Uprising Team is happy to welcome Jordyn Taylor as this summer's Impact Intern in partnership with the University of Maryland's Do Good Institute. Jordyn is originally from Michigan and is currently a junior Public Policy major at UMD with minors in Spanish and Human Development. As a Public Policy major, her concentration has been in education policy, focusing on institutional reform to achieve social change and equity.
In her strives to create social change, she has worked with several nonprofit organizations. Previously, she served as an intern at Brilliant Detroit working on improving childhood literacy rates in Detroit.
Jordyn has also worked with Maryland Mentor Corps (MMC) for two years at UMD, which also tackles childhood literacy and education policies. In her roles with Brilliant Detroit and MMC, she has worked on service, community outreach, and research projects to improve access to quality education and educational outcomes in underserved communities.
Jordyn is looking forward to supporting Noble Uprising's efforts to advocate for women experiencing homelessness through Noble's SEE Campaign and Hopeful Project.
Following her internship at Noble Uprising, Jordyn plans to graduate with her bachelor’s degree in Public Policy. Afterward, Jordyn hopes to pursue a career in public service to continue advocating for social change.
